Goal of the foundation "Jumelage Veendam-Kelowna" is to give shape to the relationship between Veendam (The Netherlands) and Kelowna (BC, Canada) and their population.
The foundation tries to achieve this goal by:
- Encouraging, organizing and coordinating activities related to the above mentioned goal;
- Promoting the exchange of individuals, groups of individuals, institutions and organizations between the two municipalities in various ways;
- Maintaining, strengthening and expanding relations between the two communities;
- Maintaining contacts and discussions with the municipality of Veendam and other relevant institutions and organizations,
- The use of all legitimate and lawful means which could be conducive to the objective.
